What is your role at Parspec?

Customer Success Specialist

Why did you join Parspec?

I was searching to continue my customer success career and when I ran into Parspec and how it was to serve the construction industry, it caught my eye. I wanted to challenge myself by entering a new industry and learning more about how technology can serve beyond what I’m used to.

How do you see Parspec impacting the AEC industry?

I believe that AI and ML will have a huge impact on the AEC industry. For Parspec in particular, our ability to organize product data and recommend alternative products across a wide range of requirements or manufacturers will drive workflow efficiency, drive down cost, and increase sustainability efforts.

What challenges are you looking forward to trying to solve?

I appreciate the fact that technology is enhancing a process that’s been established for years. The transformation that technology can do to help someone save time and increase productivity was definitely something I wanted to be a part of.

Are there any recent projects or initiatives at Parspec that you’re particularly excited about, and why?

Our product finder! We’re currently in a beta phase with a handful of users. The capability of telling the system to extract key attributes from a datasheet and search for an alternate product with a close match just absolutely blows my mind! Talk about technology being a time saver and driving more efficiency.

What are your career goals? Where do you think Parspec can take you?

My career goal is to continue holding a role that focuses on being customer-centric. I think Parspec being acknowledged for their customer service will help me find more ways to provide and improve.

If you were not working at Parspec, where would you be?

Taking some time to explore the world (Grand Canyon is a bucket list item!) and then working my way to stumble onto Parspec.

What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional in your domain needs to have?

Attentive listening- I think this is the biggest form of creating a relationship with either a counterpart or a customer. This then translates into a trust which is necessary to have between you and the other party.

What is the biggest challenge that you’ve faced since joining the team?

Entering a whole new industry and learning all the ins and outs of the current process in construction. But I’ve had great mentors who are more than willing to help along the way!

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?

Give yourself grace. Every new project or role will have its challenges and it’s not always going to go perfectly. Every opportunity, regardless of the outcome, is a learning opportunity that will help you grow into the future.

What techniques help you stay organized and productive?

Creating a to-do list based on what needs to be accomplished for the current week. And then adding those items in between meetings and calls. And then having a 1:1 with Tom at the end of the week to review any of those items and discuss any questions/concerns/accomplishments.

What is your favorite food?

Anything noodles-related – ramen, basil pesto pasta, stir-fry noodles….and the list goes on.

Describe your perfect weekend.

Brunch with a perfectly cooked eggs benedict!
