Meet Brandon Shore, Account Executive at Parspec!

Brandon Shore is an Account Executive at Parspec, where he works closely with regional distributors and manufacturers' representatives to introduce tools that drive efficiency and simplify everyday operations. With a background in plumbing and mechanical sales, Brandon brings firsthand industry knowledge and a deep appreciation for the challenges faced by those on the ground.

Motivated by the growing role of technology in construction, Brandon joined Parspec to help modernize communication and data-sharing across the supply chain. He is especially passionate about streamlining workflows, reducing daily chaos for customers, and expanding the platform into underserved verticals.

Outside of work, Brandon soaks up time with his two young kids and heads for the mountains whenever possible, ideally with skis, friends, and some live music.

Read on to learn more about Brandon’s journey, his goals at Parspec, and how he is helping shape a more connected and collaborative future for the construction industry.

What is your role at Parspec?
I work with regional distributors and manufacturers' representatives to assess how Parspec's suite of tools can help drive efficiencies and make their jobs easier.

Why did you join Parspec?
I joined Parspec after seeing how technology was already impacting construction through the manufacturers I worked with. After transitioning into a company that sold to repair contractors, I had no idea how much had already been built out or how deeply tech had spread in the GC and subcontractor world. It just made sense that distributors and rep agencies would need modern platforms, too.

What challenges are you looking forward to trying to solve?
Streamlining information exchange in construction to reduce the hundreds of minor pings and eliminate the chaos of constant emergencies that derail a customer’s day.

What sparked your interest in the technology industry?
After years of selling materials, I realized I was filling a need but not improving how people worked. Technology offers immediate impact—streamlining processes, saving time, and enhancing daily operations. That ability to drive efficiency drew me in.

How do you see Parspec impacting the AEC industry?
We're on the verge of a major shift in how data is shared and communication flows across the industry. Construction is full of bottlenecks and seems to be designed for "just-in-time" planning. Streamlining construction data will create a more collaborative and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Are there any recent projects or initiatives at Parspec that you’re particularly excited about, and why?
Given my background in plumbing and mechanical, I'm very excited to expand the platform into those verticals.
Also, I cannot wait for Parspec to be a platform for reps and distributors to pass documents and information within.

What are your career goals? Where do you think Parspec can take you?
I love working with regional players and helping smaller companies succeed, but I’d also love to become a Chief Revenue Officer one day. I appreciate Parspec’s transparency in sharing leadership’s process for building a successful organization, and I’m confident it can equip me with the tools to get there.

If you were not working at Parspec, where would you be?
Continuing to work in the industry, either directly for a manufacturer or a rep agency.

What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional in your domain needs to have?
Strong communication rooted in both critical thinking and emotional intelligence to understand and connect with others. Business, first and foremost, is about working with people.

What is the biggest challenge that you’ve faced since joining the team?
The biggest challenge has been adjusting to a small organization where everyone is stretched for time. Coming from large blue-chip companies with defined roles, red tape, and sensitive egos, the shift has been a major change.

What do you see as the most exciting trends or developments in your domain right now?
Communication between different organizations is becoming even easier. Beyond picking up the phone, live chats, and emails, it's becoming encouraged to text, send voice notes, make video calls, etc. People are much more receptive to these forms of communication, and it makes everything feel more natural.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors. In construction, the industry is small—distributors, contractors, and engineers cross paths often. Challenges and conflicts push us to collaborate, leading to mutually beneficial outcomes and building long-term partnerships and friendships.

What techniques help you stay organized and productive?
With multiple projects and regional clients, it's crucial to thoroughly detail out next steps, create dedicated time blocks, and keep information easy to access. This makes switching between tasks seamless.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
With the product evolving so quickly, I’m motivated to bring in the customer perspective to help shape the best platform possible.

What is your favorite food?
Any Eastern European deli foods

What do you like to do outside of work?
Mainly soaking up as much time as possible with my two young kids.

Describe your perfect weekend.
My perfect weekend is all about the outdoors. Coming out of winter, I’d love to be in the mountains, skiing—cross-country or alpine, I’m happy with either. Sprinkle in some live music and friends, and it’s ideal.

Where are you located? How did you end up there?
San Francisco Bay Area. I first moved out here to work as the Area Manager for a plumbing manufacturer.
