His journey from sales leadership to tech innovation reflects his drive to make the construction industry more efficient, connected, and collaborative.

In this interview, Alex shares what inspires him, what he loves about Parspec’s technology, and how he sees the future of project procurement evolving.

What is your role at Parspec?
I work as a Account Executive.

Why did you join Parspec?
For the team and the technology. I worked in electrical distribution for years and experienced firsthand the challenges our technology solves every day. I was blown away by how easy and efficient Parspec makes the project sales cycle, and after meeting with the broader team, I knew I had to join!

What sparked your interest in the technology industry?
I got involved in a CRM project while working as a Sales Leader in the electrical distribution space, and I had so much fun with it that I decided to switch careers.

How do you see Parspec impacting the AEC industry?
I see it transforming the transactional dynamic of the project procurement process, enabling every part of the channel to deliver distinct value through strategic partnerships and differentiated capabilities. As we continue to develop the end-to-end workflow and integrate more stakeholders, our application will help reduce project build times and costs while creating a more sustainable, streamlined process with fewer errors, delays, and headaches. I truly believe that when we execute on our promise, we will help lower housing costs for future generations, improve the quality of what’s being built, and make life easier and better for everyone who interacts with our technology.

Are there any recent projects or initiatives at Parspec that you’re particularly excited about, and why?
Leaning into Product Finder 2.0 has been amazing, and as we expand that part of the platform’s capabilities, it will be incredible to see the buzz it’s going to create.

What are your career goals? Where do you think Parspec can take you?
I want to help build the most successful construction tech company in the world. I don’t care what my title is along the way, I just want to make things better.

If you were not working at Parspec, where would you be?
Riding and carving down a tree-covered mountain with my wife and kids.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Honestly, it’s usually my cat jumping on my head, but it’s easy to get going when you’re having fun with what you do!

What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional in your domain needs to have?
Focused Empathy.

What is the biggest challenge that you’ve faced since joining the team?
It’s been pretty good so far! Sales is sales — you have to hustle to eat. Nothing that really stands out.

What do you see as the most exciting trends or developments in your domain right now?
I believe the opportunity to create a connected supply chain in our industry will truly transform its dynamics. Bringing partners together on the same technology will foster a sense of teamwork that changes the way people work forever.

What techniques help you stay organized and productive?
I ruthlessly prioritize every morning, week, month, and quarter. I start with whatever will help my customers the most, and by the end of the day, I make sure every request is either answered or in progress. Caring for and listening to your customers is one of the simplest ways to be successful.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
An old Covey quote — “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.” I have a high-driver personality, and keeping this in mind helps me be more effective.

What is your favorite food?
There are only two foods I don’t like — canned tuna and hard-boiled eggs. Everything else is on the table!

What do you like to do outside of work?
Building things, cooking, being in nature, and spending time with friends and family.
